Cavarino farm has different types of ponds for fish culture i.e. liner ponds and
concrete ponds. For fingerling production (African Catfish, Nile tilapia and ornamentals), we
have a modern hatchery, RAS (recirculating aquaculture system) system. We have a capacity of
66 tonnes production of consumable fish per year both for local consumers and for export. The
farm produces catfish (Clarias gariepinus) and tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) for consumption.
For ornamental purposes the farm has koi carp, shibunkin fish, Sarasa gold fish, Albino fish,
silver comet, yellow comet and gold fish.
